After our successful participation in 2003 we, Balkan Folklore Ensemble were invited for the second time to represent Bulgaria in the grand Folk festival Summerfest, Hungary in the period August 12 to 22.
In the festival will participate groups from 19 other countries - Azerbaijan, Cyprus, Chechnya, Estonia, France, Croatia, Canada, China, Colombia, Cuba, Lebanon, Russia, Peru, Romania, Serbia, Thailand, Turkey, Venezuela and Hungary.

Children's Dance Ensemble "Zornitsa" first international participation in Romania

Charming young performers from Children's Dance Ensemble "Zornitsa" for the first time will show the international arena and will compete with children around the world. The ensemble was invited to participate in the International Children's Folklore Festival "Goldfish," which will be held from 7th to 12th August in the picturesque town of Tulcea, situated on the Danube Delta. |

Folk Radio MENCI launches its first Master Class "Touching the Source" with Verka Siderova – the singer of Dobrudja region

From 01 till 07 October 2011 the village of Smilyan, Smolyan Municipality will host the first Master Class for folk songs singing organized by Folk Radio MENCI and tutored by the famous Bulgarian folk singer Verka Siderova. During these seven days the participants will have the opportunity to touch the source of Dobrudja songs through the magical voice of the longtime soloist of the State Ensemble for Folk Songs and Dances “Filip Kutev”, Sofia. The singer has made a whirlwind career in the ensemble, “sculptured by Filip Kutev himself” as the singer |

"Nadigrai me" Newest Dance Competition of Bulgaria

On May 22nd, 2011, Bulgarian National Television World programme launched the newest dance competition of
Bulgaria, "Nadigrai me" (the one who is better). Format is BNT (www.bnt.bg)
Over seven consecutive Sunday nights, a competition of choreography between 14 teams will be seen on the screen.
The final of the season will take place on the eighth night and winners of the seven Sundays will compete for first
place.

"Dzhumbare" - New weekly folk issue of "Mentsi" Folk Radio

Folk Radio "Mentsi" united four radio stations for the launch of its new folk edition "Dzhumbare" with presenters Eva and Iva Valentinovi.
The show will be broadcast simultaneously on radio "Mentsi", Regional Radio "Geya" - Sandanski, Radio "Nazdrave" and radio "Freshhits".
